20  base64 standard library

The base64 module implements RFC 4648 Section 4 standard Base64 (+, /, = padding) and Section 5 URL/filename-safe Base64URL (-, _, unpadded or padded).

base64::encode(s) String => String Encodes s using standard RFC 4648 Base64 (+, /) with = padding
base64::decode(s) String => < String | Error > Decodes standard Base64 (ignoring ASCII whitespace); returns Error on invalid characters or quantum lengths
base64::encode_url(s) String => String Encodes s using URL-safe RFC 4648 Section 5 Base64URL (-, _) without = padding
base64::encode_url_padded(s) String => String Encodes s using URL-safe Base64URL (-, _) with = padding
base64::decode_url(s) String => < String | Error > Decodes URL-safe Base64URL (accepts both padded and unpadded inputs)
